What is Dragon Medical One (DMO)? Dragon Medical One, referred to as DMO throughout this document, is a secure, cloud-based speech recognition solution that allows clinicians to document the complete patient story using voice, enabling healthcare organizations to easily deploy medical speech recognition across the enterprise — all while saving time for IT staff and boosting productivity and efficiency for clinicians.

What does DMO do?

Every patient deserves a complete clinical story, and DMO makes it easier for clinicians to capture each patient’s story completely by enabling them to use speech to text to document patient interactions more efficiently. Thorough and concurrent documentation contributes to an accurate clinical picture of the patient that promotes better coordination of services and communication between care providers, ensuring quality patient care.

Launching DMO Select the icon to open DMO. User: Enter the user name provided byyour organization. Microphone: Select the appropriate recording device for dictation. Language: Keep the default option, English (United States). Specialty: Select your specialty. • Choose General Medicine or Internal Medicine if your specialty is not listed. • Use Clinical Administration for non- medical dictation. Select OK to start using DMO.
