Step-by-step commands A Step-by-Step (SbS) Command is used to execute a series of predefined actions by saying a key phrase. The concept is like that of an Auto-Text, but instead of entering a block of text, Step-by-Step Commands can simulate keystrokes or even turn your microphone on or off. The steps can be customized to execute a variety of functions, such as accessing a website, navigating within an application, or entering text to help save time when doing repetitive tasks. Disclaimer : The Step-by-Step command feature is not designed for the use of PHI, PII, or credentials. Using the SbS command for such purposes is strictly prohibited. Create a Step-by-step command Say “ Manage commands ” Or select Manage Step-by- step Commands… f rom the DragonBar menu. Select the + symbol to create a new command. Enter a name into the Name field. For this example, enter Beginning of line . Select New Step and choose Press Hotkey Select the Pencil Icon Press the Home key on your keyboard Selecy Apply All Select Close Execute a Step-by-step command To execute a Step-by-step Command, turn on your microphone and say the name of the command you want. For this example, use the command created above. Open the Dictation Box and say “ The patient is a very pleasant individual .” Say “ Beginning of line ” Observe that your cursor has now moved to the beginning of your sentence.
