Edit your summary in your EHR DAX Copilot allows you the flexibility to make changes to your clinical summary draft from either from your mobile device or your computer, both leveraging the power of Dragon Medical One voice recognition.
Another option is to forego editing in DAX Copilot and transfer the summary text into your EHR to make changes. This section of the guide will cover the steps used to finalize your summary within your EHR.
Complete your recording and put your mobile device away until you ’ re at a computer and ready to begin finalizing your clinical document in your EHR. For more information on creating a patient encounter, review the Record section of this guide.
① Log in to Dragon Medical One on your computer. If you ’ ve never opened DAX Copilot in Dragon Medical One before, a blue dot is displayed near the DragonBar menu button. After that you ’ ll only see the dot if you have unread DAX Copilot summaries.
② Open DAX Copilot. Turn on your microphone and say, “ Open DAX Copilot ” or select the DragonBar Menu button then, choose DAX Copilot from the drop down. The DAX Copilot Summaries list will open in a new window.
③ Select the summary you want to use.
④ Place your cursor in your EHR, where you want the summary text to show up, then say “Transfer all” . All sections of your summary draft will paste into your EHR. Now, you can use Dragon Medical One alongside your favorite time saving tools like Smart phrases, Dot phrases, pre-completed notes, templates, etc. to finalize before signing.
You can also transfer individual sections, either using your voice with Dragon Medical One or copy and paste with your keyboard and mouse. For more information about moving your summary text from DAX Copilot to your EHR, review the Transfer section of this guide.
